Pakistani drones sighted in J-K
A team of important officials from the central government visited Jammu and Kashmir to check on the security situation.
They are worried because there have been several sightings of drones coming from Pakistan, and some of these drones have been carrying weapons.
The officials had a meeting to discuss how to keep everyone safe, especially because it's almost time for Republic Day, which is a big celebration in India.
They decided to ban some activities like trekking and using VPNs to make sure people stay safe.
Additionally, there have been reports of terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Khalistani extremists getting paragliders, which makes the situation even more serious.
The security forces are working hard to track down militants and ensure the safety of the region.
Pakistani drones were spotted hovering along the Indo-Pak border in Poonch and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting security forces to activate their anti-unmanned aerial system.
A drone was seen near posts along the LoC in Poonch, leading the forces to implement their anti-UAS measures.
Another drone was sighted along the International Border in the Ramgarh sector of Samba district.
Troops remain on high alert along the border with Pakistan.
Army personnel opened fire to intercept multiple suspected Pakistani drones that had entered Indian territory from across the LoC in the Rajouri district on Tuesday night.
