Telangana Corporation Chiefs Seek Term Renewal
In Telangana, India, many chairpersons of different corporations are trying to get another term even though their current terms are ending soon.
The government appointed 37 chairpersons in January 2024 for a two-year term.
However, the ruling party leaders say they prefer to give new people a chance rather than letting the current chairpersons stay longer.
Some chairpersons are still trying to get their terms extended, but the party leaders believe it's better to give opportunities to new faces.
The party chief recently said that all vacant posts will be filled in April, which means new chairpersons might be appointed soon.
