Captain Polyplast Reports 75% Net Profit Decline in September Quarter
Captain Polyplast, a company that makes water pumps and solar power systems, saw its reported profit drop significantly this past quarter.
This happened because last year they got a special large sum of money that they didn't get this year.
However, they actually sold more products and services than last year, and their overall earnings before some costs went up.
They also got a big new order to provide solar water pumps for farmers in Maharashtra.
Additionally, they were approved to supply solar pumps in Gujarat too.
The company is optimistic because the government is supporting solar power and farming tools, and a tax cut makes these items more affordable for people.
Even though the reported profit is lower, the business is growing in key areas.
Captain Polyplast's net profit decreased by 75% to ₹4 crore in the September quarter, compared to ₹16 crore in the same period last year.
The prior year's net profit was significantly boosted by an exceptional income of ₹16 crore, which was not present in the current quarter.
Total income rose to ₹80 crore from ₹53 crore, and EBITDA increased by 23% to ₹8 crore, reflecting steady growth in micro irrigation and solar EPC segments.
The company secured an initial order worth ₹6 crore for 200 off-grid solar water pumps from MSEDCL under the ‘Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump’ Yojna.
Captain Polyplast also received approval to supply off-grid solar water pumps in Gujarat under the PM-KUSUM Scheme and anticipates continued government support for solar and irrigation solutions.
