Recruitment Reform Yatra Begins Amid Village Protest in Jharkhand

Devendra Nath Mahto started a journey to demand changes in Jharkhand’s government recruitment exams.

He wants exams to be fair, transparent, and protected from leaked question papers.

The journey is planned to visit all 24 districts of the state.

It began near Nemra village, which is connected to Shibu Soren’s family.

Some villagers opposed the campaign because they support Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

They carried traditional weapons while protesting.

The villagers also said Mahto had not given them written notice about the visit.

Mahto tried to reduce tensions by asking for their blessings and joining local rituals.
