Opposition protests MGNREGA repeal in Parliament
The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, talked about a new law called VB-G RAM G in Parliament.
This law replaces an older one called MGNREGA, which guaranteed jobs for people in villages.
The opposition parties, like Congress, protested because they want the old law back.
They say MGNREGA was better because it gave people the right to work and let local village councils make decisions.
The government says the new law is better and will stop corruption.
The opposition says they will use peaceful and legal ways to try to get the old law back.
The opposition also protested in a dignified manner during the President's address, while the government accused them of making the country ashamed.
The Congress Party is organizing protests across the country to fight against the new law, which they believe will harm the poor and increase poverty.
President Droupadi Murmu announced the VB-G RAM G Act in Parliament, replacing MGNREGA.
Opposition parties protested, demanding the restoration of MGNREGA.
Congress stated they will use all democratic means to restore MGNREGA.
