Weatherald hopeful tweaks will be seen in Darwin Bangladesh series

Weatherald hopeful tweaks will be seen in Darwin Bangladesh series

Cricket is a sport where batters try to score runs with a bat.

Jake Weatherald plays for Australia's national cricket team.

He is going back to Darwin, the city where he was born and raised, to play a series against Bangladesh.

Before this series, he practiced in England with a county team called Leicestershire.

While he was there, he made a few small changes to his batting technique.

He wants to hit the ball straighter and hit the stumps more often.

Jake is the first Test cricketer who was born and brought up in Darwin, so local fans are very excited to see him play.

He knows he might face more criticism if he does not perform well at home.

Jake also knows he needs to score runs to keep his place in the Test team.

He hopes his tweaks will help him do that.
