Kerala High Court Grants Bail to Ex-BJP Leader

K Padmarajan was convicted in a case involving the alleged sexual assault of a nine-year-old girl.

The case began in Kerala in January 2020.

He was given a sentence lasting for the rest of his life, along with other prison terms and a fine.

Padmarajan said the accusations were fabricated.

The investigation was changed five times and caused controversy.

A bloodstain found in a school toilet was cited as important evidence.

Padmarajan appealed his conviction in the Kerala High Court.

The court has temporarily stopped his sentence and released him on bail, but the challenge to his conviction is still continuing.
