Case filed over fake social media post on CPI leader
A man named V S Sunil Kumar, who is a leader in the CPI party, found a fake post on Facebook.
The post said he was going to join another party called Congress.
He didn't like this, so he told the police.
The police are now trying to find out who made the fake post.
They have started a case against the person who did this.
This isn't the first time this has happened.
Last week, a similar fake post was made about another leader, Shanimol Usman, saying she was going to join a different party.
The police are taking these fake posts seriously and are trying to stop them.
A fake Facebook post claimed CPI leader V S Sunil Kumar would join the Congress party.
Kumar filed a complaint with the State Police Chief, leading to a case being registered by Thrissur Cyber Police.
The post was traced to a Facebook account named Suja George, and efforts are underway to identify the account holder.
The case was registered under Section 192 and Section 120(o) of the Kerala Police Act.
This is the second such incident, with a similar case registered last week involving Congress leader Shanimol Usman.
