India Aims to Become Global Arbitration Hub, Says Minister
India wants to become a place where businesses from all over the world can solve their disagreements.
The government is working hard to make this happen by promoting a special way of resolving disputes called institutional arbitration.
They had a big meeting to talk about how to do this.
This approach uses structured rules and organizations to help resolve conflicts more efficiently than the older, less organized methods.
They also want to show off their arbitration center, the IIAC, as a top-notch place to solve tough business problems.
The meeting included discussions on how to make arbitration better, like using clear processes and learning from other countries.
Government aims to establish India as a global arbitration hub.
A National Conference on Institutional Arbitration was held to promote this goal.
The India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC) is being highlighted as a competitive arbitral institution.
Sessions covered topics such as dispute resolution in PSUs and best practices in arbitration.
The conference addressed challenges and promoted structured institutional frameworks over ad hoc mechanisms.
