Brahmotsavams Begin at Dokiparru Mahakshetram
The 10th annual Salakatla Brahmotsavams started at the Dokiparru Mahakshetram in Gudlavalleru mandal, Krishna district.
This special festival honors the deities Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Goddess Bhoodevi.
The festivities began on a special day called Margasira Dwadasi with many traditional ceremonies.
Vedic scholars performed special rituals, and the temple's leaders and organizing committee made sure everything was done with great care.
On the first day, there were special baths for the deities, a procession, and a special chariot ride.
