Flexi cap, multi-asset funds lead mutual fund inflows

Flexi cap, multi-asset funds lead mutual fund inflows

Many people put their money together into big baskets called mutual funds.

A smart person called a fund manager uses that money to buy things like shares of companies, gold, or bonds.

Different mutual funds invest in different kinds of things.

This news looked at which kinds of mutual funds Indian investors liked from December 2025 to June 2026.

The most popular were Flexi Cap funds, which got about ₹55,225 crore.

These funds let the manager decide whether to buy shares of big, medium, or small companies.

The next most popular were Multi-asset funds, which mix shares, gold, and other things in one basket.

Money also went into riskier funds that buy shares of medium and small companies.

One kind of fund, called ELSS, lost money because it was mainly used for a tax benefit that is now less useful for many people.

The article says being popular does not mean a fund is right for you.
