SWAT Commando Murdered by Husband
A brave woman who worked as a SWAT commando for the Delhi Police was very badly hurt by her husband.
He hit her many times with a heavy metal dumbbell, and her head was also smashed against a door frame.
She was taken to the hospital, but she didn't get better and died five days later.
Her husband was arrested right after the attack.
The police are still figuring out why he did this.
The woman's family said she was four months pregnant and that her husband had been asking for more money and a car.
The couple had a one-and-a-half-year-old son who was staying with his grandparents at the time.
Kajal's brother, who is also a police constable, heard the whole incident over the phone as her husband threatened to kill her and then told him she was dead.
A 27-year-old SWAT commando, Kajal Chaudhary, was allegedly assaulted by her husband, Ankur Chaudhary, with a metal dumbbell at their residence in Mohan Garden, Southwest Delhi.
Kajal suffered severe head injuries, including her head being smashed against a door frame, and was taken to a private hospital in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where she succumbed to her injuries on January 27.
Ankur Chaudhary, who works as a clerk in the Ministry of Defence, was arrested on the day of the incident, January 22, and initially charged with attempt to murder. The case has since been converted to murder.
