Protest at Polytechnic Over Religious Teaching Allegations
There was a big argument at a college in Tirupati because a teacher talked about Jesus Christ in class.
Some students recorded the teacher and shared the video online.
This made some Hindu groups very upset, and they protested, asking for the teacher to be removed.
The college said they would talk to higher authorities about it.
A political leader also said the teacher should be suspended and that schools should not talk about religion.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams said they have nothing to do with the college.
A lecturer at Sri Venkateswara Government Polytechnic College allegedly spoke about Jesus Christ during a class.
Students recorded the lecture and shared it on social media, leading to protests by Hindu organizations.
Protesters demanded the lecturer's removal, accusing her of religious propagation.
The college's in-charge principal referred the matter to higher authorities for action.
