India to export BrahMos missiles to Vietnam, Indonesia
India is getting ready to sell BrahMos missiles to Vietnam and Indonesia.
These missiles are very fast and can hit targets far away.
The deals are worth a lot of money, and India has already sold similar missiles to the Philippines.
India and Russia made these missiles together, and Russia has said it's okay for India to sell them to these countries.
India also wants to sell other weapons like Akash and Pinaka systems to more countries.
This is important because it helps India's friends in the region protect themselves.
India is close to finalizing deals to export BrahMos missiles to Vietnam and Indonesia, worth over $450 million.
Russia, the joint developer, has given verbal approval for the export, with a formal no-objection certificate awaited.
Vietnam and Indonesia may place additional orders in the future, following the Philippines' example.
India has extended the missile's range to 450 km and plans to induct an 800 km version by 2028.
India is also offering Akash air defence and Pinaka rocket systems to several countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, UAE, and Brazil.
