Assam CRPF Personnel Dies of Dengue Ahead of Unity Day

Amal Barman was a 26-year-old security force member from Assam.

He was in Gujarat ahead of the National Unity Day celebrations.

He became sick with dengue, an illness spread by mosquitoes.

He first went to the hospital on October 3 and was told to rest.

Three days later, he returned because he felt worse.

Tests showed his platelet count had dropped, and his condition became critical.

He died at Gandhinagar Civil Hospital early Wednesday.

The report said 43 security personnel had been infected with dengue.
