West Indies Miss Direct Qualification for 2027 ODI World Cup
The West Indies are a famous cricket team from the Caribbean.
They have won the big 50-over World Cup two times before.
The next big World Cup will happen in 2027.
It will be played in three countries: South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
The tournament will take place in 12 different locations.
It is scheduled from October to November in 2027.
This time, the West Indies did not earn a direct spot in the tournament.
That means they did not qualify directly like some other teams.
So now they have to play extra qualifying games to try to get in.
If they win those games, they can still play in the World Cup.
West Indies failed to qualify directly for the 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup.
The two-time ODI World Cup winners must now earn a spot through qualification.
The 50-over tournament will be held across 12 locations in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
The event is scheduled for October–November 2027.
The Men in Maroon will need to prevail in qualifying to secure their place.
