Ayodhya's Dashrath Path Nears Completion Ahead of Deepotsav

In the Indian city of Ayodhya, workers are building a very long new road called Dashrath Path.

When finished, it will be more than 15 kilometres long and have four lanes for traffic.

It will connect two special places, including a memorial to King Dashrath, who was Lord Ram's father in the ancient Treta Yuga stories.

The project costs about Rs 419 crore, which is a very large amount of money.

About 92 per cent of the work is already done.

The government wants to finish the road before Deepotsav, a big festival of lights in Ayodhya.

The new road will have bright modern lights, a walking path and a divider in the middle for safety.

It will also have 30 special pillars showing yoga poses and warrior mudras.

These pillars will help people remember Ayodhya's spiritual traditions and history.

Once the road opens, it will make travel easier for local people and visitors who come to see the city's heritage.
