Nagendra Denies Resignation Reports Amid Karnataka Valmiki Corporation Row

B. Nagendra is a minister in Karnataka.

Some reports said he planned to resign because of a controversy involving government funds.

Nagendra said those reports were completely untrue.

His office said he had not received a call from the Chief Minister’s Office or discussed resigning.

The controversy involves alleged irregularities of ₹89 crore at the Valmiki tribal development corporation.

It became public after an accounts officer died by suicide in May 2024 and allegedly left a note about unauthorised fund transfers.

The BJP and JD(S) want Nagendra removed from the Cabinet.

The BJP also plans a long march to protest this issue and other complaints about the Karnataka government.
