Mass Protest Forces Education Minister’s Resignation in India
A big group of young people in India marched to the government’s main building, Jantar Mantar, to ask the Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, to step down.
They were led by a student activist named Sonam Wangchuk.
The protest was so large that even the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, had to listen.
Other politicians, like Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, joined the protest to show they cared.
Because of the peaceful but powerful march, Pradhan resigned, and people now expect the Education Minister to do a better job.
Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as India’s Education Minister after a mass movement led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
The protest, centered at Jantar Mantar, drew hundreds of thousands of young people and pressured Prime Minister Narendra Modi to concede.
Opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and others amplified the movement, keeping it alive in Parliament and on the streets.
The movement highlighted the role of Gen Z, student activists like Neha Bora, and local organizers such as Abhijit Dipke in shaping national politics.
The outcome raised public expectations of accountability for the Education Ministry and demonstrated disciplined, creative protest can influence government decisions.
