Bihar Congress condemns Uttarakhand minister's husband remarks
The Bihar Congress is very upset about some things said by the husband of a minister in Uttarakhand.
In a video, the man, Girdhari Lal Sahu, allegedly said that women from Bihar could be married off for a small amount of money.
The Congress leader, Rajesh Ram, said this is very disrespectful to the women of Bihar.
He asked the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Bihar why they are not saying anything about this.
He also said that the BJP, the party in power, has not done anything about similar bad behavior by their leaders in the past.
The Congress plans to protest against this.
Bihar Congress condemned Girdhari Lal Sahu's alleged remarks about marrying women from Bihar for Rs 20,000-25,000.
Congress leader Rajesh Ram demanded action against Sahu and questioned PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar's silence.
The remarks were allegedly made at an event in Almora, Uttarakhand, with a video circulating on social media.
