Deloitte to hire 50,000 in India, eyes Mangaluru
Deloitte, a big company that helps other businesses, is planning to hire 50,000 new employees in India.
They already have 140,000 workers there, which is a lot!
The boss of Deloitte in South Asia, Romal Shetty, said they want to hire even more people in places like Mangaluru, Bhubaneswar, and other smaller cities.
He thinks these places have really smart people, especially in engineering and medicine.
Deloitte wants to make sure that by 2047, every third person working for them around the world is from India.
They also want to help make these smaller cities grow by bringing in more companies and investments.
It's like they're betting big on India's future!
Deloitte plans to hire 50,000 more employees in India, adding to its current workforce of 140,000.
Mangaluru is a key target for expansion due to its strong engineering and medical talent.
Deloitte is also considering other Tier II cities like Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Indore, and Jaipur.
The company aims for every third Deloitte employee globally to be Indian within the next three years.
India dominates the global GCC space, with around 50% of all global GCCs based in the country.
