Tamil Nadu Green Fellows Graduate, Ready to Champion Climate Policy
Tamil Nadu has a program to train young people called Green Fellows, who learn about climate change and how to make policies to help the environment.
Forty fellows have finished the two-year program and are working with the government in different districts.
They're involved in projects like cleaning up the coast and managing the environment.
The fellows also help with programs to reduce plastic use.
The state is starting to recruit more fellows to expand the program.
After the program, the fellows can pursue further education or work with the government.
Tamil Nadu has 40 Green Fellows trained in climate change policy.
The two-year program was supported by Anna University.
Fellows work in districts coordinating environmental initiatives with local administration.
