Barrage Project Begins Post-Monsoon for Flood Control
Imagine a big water storage place called Ajwa reservoir that gives water to Vadodara city.
Sometimes, when it rains too much, the water overflows into a river that goes through the city.
To stop the city from flooding, the government is building a new barrier, called a barrage, after the rainy season.
This barrage will help control how much water flows out of the reservoir.
The project will cost a lot of money and will take about a year and a half to finish.
The people building the barrage are experts in this kind of work, to make sure it works well.
