Monsoon Session: Kerala Renaming Bill, Tribunal Reforms Top Agenda

India's Parliament is having a very busy week during its Monsoon Session.

The Lok Sabha, one of the two houses of Parliament, will talk about four new law ideas on Monday.

One idea would change the name of the state of Kerala.

Another idea would help special courts called tribunals work better.

Lawmakers will also discuss updating mining laws and laws that help cooperative groups.

The Rajya Sabha, the other house, will discuss rules about digital banking records and tax changes.

Important leaders like Amit Shah and Nirmala Sitharaman will present these ideas.

Later in the week, lawmakers may discuss new rules about money that groups receive from other countries.

Some Christian and minority groups are worried about those rules and want changes.

If the lawmakers agree, these ideas can become new laws.
