A new laboratory will be built in Yendada, Visakhapatnam.

It will make bio-fertilisers for farmers.

The project will cost about Rs 3.02 crore.

It is being built under a government agriculture scheme.

MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao laid the foundation stone on Friday.

The laboratory will produce three types of bio-fertilisers called Azotobacter, Azospirillum and Rhizobium.

These products are intended to help soil provide nutrients and stay healthy.

The centre will also train farmers and show them how to use bio-fertilisers.
