India-New Zealand FTA a landmark deal

India-New Zealand FTA a landmark deal

India and New Zealand have signed a big trade deal called a Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

This deal was finished on December 22, 2025, after several rounds of talks.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Christopher Luxon, said this deal is very important because it will help create more jobs and make it easier for both countries to sell things to each other.

The deal removes all taxes on many products, which means Indian things like clothes, jewelry, and cars can be sold in New Zealand without extra costs.

This is good for workers, small businesses, and the economy of both countries.

The deal also helps India become more connected to other countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
