MP Urges Railway Action on Bridges and Station Modernization
A member of parliament (MP) in Vijayawada, India, asked the railway authorities to quickly start building bridges over and under the railway tracks to make travel easier for people.
The MP wants the railway to begin construction at places where it has already been approved, by inviting bids.
He also wants an old train station called Kondapalli to be updated.
This station serves a town with over 100,000 people and needs more space.
The MP believes that updating this station will make it easier for people to travel to Amaravati, a nearby city.
The railway officials agreed to consider these requests.
MP Kesineni Sivanath urged South Central Railway to start ROB/RUB construction in Vijayawada.
The MP requested tenders be issued without delay for approved level crossings.
Specific level crossings mentioned: LC No. 316, LC No. 147, LC No. 148, and LC No. 8.
The MP requested modernization of Kondapalli Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat 2.0 scheme.
