KSCA Aims to Restore IPL to Chinnaswamy Stadium
The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) is working hard to bring back international cricket matches and IPL games to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The stadium hasn't hosted international matches in the last three years because of a stampede that happened on June 4, 2024, which caused 11 deaths and 70 injuries.
The new president, Venkatesh Prasad, is talking to important people like the Chief Minister and the BCCI to make this happen.
He wants the stadium to host the first match of the IPL 2026 season, which is scheduled from March 26 to May 31.
The government has given permission to hold IPL matches, and the BCCI is also supporting this plan.
It's a big challenge, but everyone is working together to make the stadium safe and ready for cricket fans again.
However, it is still uncertain if the stadium will host the inaugural match due to the recent incident.
