Migrant Worker Found Dead Inside Ahmedabad Police Station
Raju Jatav was a 39-year-old worker from Uttar Pradesh.
He went to police in Ahmedabad because he needed help returning home.
He said he needed money for a train ticket, and a relative promised to send it in the morning.
Because it was raining, police allowed him to stay at the station overnight.
The next morning, officers found him hanging inside an electric room.
Police conducted an inquest and a forensic post-mortem examination.
They have registered an accidental death case under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
Investigators are still trying to learn why he was distressed and what had happened to him before he reached the station.
