Stonepeak Circles AM Green for $1.4B Deal
Stonepeak, an investment firm, wants to buy a big part of AM Green, a company that makes green energy.
This deal could be worth $1.4 billion.
AM Green will use some of this money to pay back a loan and the rest to build new green energy projects.
Another company, Mitsui, is also looking to invest in AM Green.
AM Green is owned by two people, Anil and Mahesh, who also own part of another green energy company called Greenko.
They are planning to build lots of new green energy stuff like aluminium, hydrogen, and ammonia.
Stonepeak is seeking up to 15% stake in AM Green for $1.4 billion.
AM Green will use part of the funds to repay $650 million in debt.
The rest of the money will go into bio-fuel, aluminium, and ammonia projects.
Mitsui & Co. is also doing due diligence for a potential stake in AM Green.
