Odisha signs MoUs for farm growth
The Odisha government signed two important agreements to help farmers.
One agreement is with a company called Tatwa Technologies Limited to improve a phone service that gives farmers advice on crops, animals, and fishing.
This service, called Krushi Samrudhi Helpline, already helps over 80 lakh farmers.
The other agreement is with an organization called Heifer International to help farmers grow and sell ginger, turmeric, and millets better.
These agreements aim to make farming easier and more profitable for farmers in Odisha.
Odisha government signed two MoUs to boost agricultural projects and digital transformation.
First MoU with Tatwa Technologies Limited for managing the Krushi Samrudhi Helpline, a digital mobile-based extension service for farmers.
Second MoU with Heifer International to support the value chain development of ginger, turmeric, and millets in Odisha.
Krushi Samrudhi Helpline has 80+ lakh farmers and provides advisories on 70 crop types, 11 livestock types, and 3 fisheries practices.
