Ilaiyaraaja Celebrates 50 Years in Music with Charity Concert

A famous music composer named Ilaiyaraaja is going to perform a special concert in Bengaluru.

This concert is to celebrate 50 years of his music and to help a good cause.

The cause is called 'Music for Meals', which helps provide food to schoolchildren.

The concert is on January 10, 2026, at NICE Grounds in Madavara.

The organization behind this is the Akshaya Patra Foundation, which feeds about 2.33 million children every school day.

Ilaiyaraaja agreed to perform as soon as he was asked because he believes in supporting good causes.

This event combines music and helping others.

Ilaiyaraaja started his career in Kannada films and has worked in many languages.

He thinks young composers are already very talented and doesn't feel the need to advise them.

He also believes that artificial intelligence in music is a part of human learning and intelligence.
