Bhopal Fake Cops Arrested for Extorting Motorists
In Bhopal, two young men pretended to be police officers and stopped people on the road.
They told riders they were checking helmets and then asked for money, threatening them with police action.
The police found them and arrested them.
One of them had a fake gun.
The police said the men were not real officers and that they were just trying to trick people.
The men claimed they were only joking, but the police said there was no evidence of a prank.
The suspects are now in jail and a case has been filed against them.
Two youths, an HR employee and an LLB student, were arrested for impersonating police in Bhopal.
They stopped commuters at Shahpura Square, claiming to be from Kohefiza police station.
