A global list names scientists whose research has had a strong citation impact.
Twenty-nine NIT Rourkela faculty members made the latest list.
A former NIT Rourkela student, Srimanta Patra, was included too, making 30 researchers associated with the institute.
The list considers how often research is cited and other measures of researchers’ contributions.
The faculty members work in many different subjects.
The institute said 19 researchers were also listed in the 2026 career-long category.
Twenty-nine National Institute of Technology Rourkela faculty members appeared on the latest global list of the top 2% of scientists.
