Noida, Faridabad Tighten Security Ahead of CJP Protest

Noida, Faridabad Tighten Security Ahead of CJP Protest

The Cockroach Janta Party and a student group have called a protest in Delhi for October 10.

The protest is against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Police in Noida and Faridabad are checking routes and transport links near Delhi.

Noida officers will look for groups travelling together and check some food orders and nearby places to stay.

Faridabad has opened eight checkpoints, each staffed by 30 police personnel.

Officials say the checks are meant to manage crowds and maintain order.

Faridabad police said they set up their posts themselves, not because Delhi police asked them to.

Gurgaon has no extra border checks, and Sonipat says its checks remain routine.
