ED Conducts Raids in ₹425 Crore Bank Fraud Case
The ED, a government agency, is investigating a case where a company called Gupta Exim allegedly took a large loan from a bank and didn't use the money properly.
Instead, they sent the money to other companies they owned or were connected to, some of which weren't even doing any real business.
The ED is now searching different locations linked to the company's owners to find documents and other evidence to understand how the money was misused and recover the funds.
ED conducted search operations at around 10 locations in Delhi and Pune.
The case is related to a ₹425 crore bank fraud.
The investigation concerns M/s Gupta Exim India Pvt. Ltd. (GEIPL).
Loan funds were allegedly diverted to shell or affiliate firms.
