Cook, Vaughan Propose Test Cricket Rule Changes
Alastair Cook and Michael Vaughan, former cricket players, talked about new rules.
Cook wants teams to be able to take a new ball anytime within 160 overs instead of just after 80 overs.
Vaughan suggests that if a player gets injured, they should be able to be substituted, just like in other sports, using the example of Rishabh Pant’s injury during the India vs England series.
Alastair Cook proposed allowing teams to take the new ball at any time within 160 overs.
Current rule allows a new ball only after 80 overs.
Michael Vaughan advocated for flexible substitution rules.
Vaughan cited Rishabh Pant's injury during the India vs. England series as an example.
