AI Startup Rejects Meta's Multi-Million Dollar Offers
Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg, tried to hire AI experts from Thinking Machines Lab by offering a lot of money, up to $1 billion.
But the whole team, including Mira Murati who used to work at OpenAI, said no.
They want to focus on their company's mission.
Meta's spokesperson disagrees with some of the details about the offers.
Mira Murati's AI startup, Thinking Machines Lab, unanimously rejected Meta's recruitment offers.
Meta offered massive compensation packages to poach AI talent for their Superintelligence Labs.
Offers ranged from $200 million to $1 billion over several years, including salary and stock options.
Meta's communication director, Andy Stone, said only a few offers were made and that the figures were inaccurate.
