Bombay HC Challenges MBMC Over Windsor Project Court Order

Bombay HC Challenges MBMC Over Windsor Project Court Order

The Windsor project is a housing development involved in a disagreement with a city corporation.

The Bombay High Court had temporarily protected the developer from harmful official action.

The developer says MBMC still sent a notice telling it to stop construction or risk losing permission.

The developer also says this caused MahaRERA to restrict the project and freeze its bank accounts.

The judges questioned why the corporation appeared to follow a local politician’s request instead of the court’s order.

The commissioner said he did not know about the order and apologised.

The court did not immediately end the contempt matter and asked officials to explain themselves.

It also ordered MBMC and MahaRERA to reverse the specified actions.
