JioMart Expands Quick Commerce but Lags in Premium Brands
JioMart, a service by Reliance Retail, is growing fast in delivering groceries quickly.
It has many stores and delivers to lots of places.
However, it is not doing as well with more expensive, premium brands.
These brands prefer other services that have been around longer and have more customers.
JioMart is still new and is working on improving.
It delivers over 1.6 million orders every day and has added almost 6 million new customers recently.
But for now, premium brands see JioMart as a secondary option.
JioMart is expanding its quick commerce business by adding stores and expanding delivery coverage.
Premium brands favor established quick commerce players with broader reach and higher order volumes.
Several premium categories like wellness, healthy snacking, and nutritional supplements are underdeveloped on JioMart.
JioMart fulfilled over 1.6 million daily orders in the December quarter of FY26, up nearly 53% from the previous quarter.
JioMart has the largest footprint of stores and the widest reach compared to other quick commerce players.
