Hyundai India Maintains 2027 Outlook Amid Q1 Profit Drop
Hyundai Motor India said it still expects to sell more cars in the next year, even though it made less money in the first quarter.
The company’s profit fell because of higher costs for steel and other materials, and a problem at its plant in Chennai.
They plan to launch a new mid‑size SUV in the festive season and add more CNG cars.
The government cut taxes last September, which helped car sales.
Hyundai hopes the new cars and more CNG options will bring sales back up.
Hyundai Motor India keeps a positive volume growth outlook for fiscal 2027.
EBITDA margin outlook for fiscal 2027 remains 11%-14% despite a 9.3% margin in Q1.
First‑quarter profit fell 35% to 8.89 billion rupees due to higher raw‑material costs and a Chennai plant disruption.
New launches include a mid‑size SUV in the festive season and an electric vehicle later this fiscal year.
CNG vehicles, which made up 18% of Q1 sales, are expected to drive future growth.
