Adigram Project Sets Digital Benchmark for Tribal Development
Adigram is a project that uses digital tools to support tribal villages in Uttarakhand.
It works in 64 villages and has made a digital record of many families and residents.
The project helped farmers use digital agriculture services and gave thousands of people skills training.
It also helped tribal artisans sell their work online.
Three apps support farming, artisans and local services.
The project says more than half of the households were connected with government schemes they could receive.
It reports that services improved and incomes rose for beneficiaries.
At a ceremony, organizers honored community members who helped make the project work.
The Adigram beneficiary dialogue and felicitation ceremony was held at Govind Ballabh Pant University in Pantnagar.
The project is a collaboration involving Divya Yoga Mandir Trust, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Uttarakhand’s Directorate of Tribal Welfare.
It operates in 64 tribal-dominated villages and has created a geo-tagged database covering more than 17,000 families and 65,000 citizens.
The initiative connected 5,000 farmers to digital agriculture, trained 15,000 people and onboarded more than 50 tribal artisans to the Irula platform.
More than half of households were linked to eligible government schemes, with reported service-delivery improvements of 30–40% and income gains of 20–30%.
