SpaceX Plans $1.5 Trillion IPO for 2026

SpaceX Plans $1.5 Trillion IPO for 2026

SpaceX, the company owned by Elon Musk, is thinking about going public in mid-June 2026.

This means they will sell shares of their company to the public for the first time.

They hope to raise about $50 billion and think their company is worth around $1.5 trillion.

This would make it the biggest IPO ever, even bigger than Saudi Aramco's $29 billion IPO in 2019.

SpaceX's CFO, Bret Johnsen, has been talking to investors about this since December.

Even though Musk has said he likes keeping SpaceX private, the company's success, especially with its Starlink internet service, has made them consider this big step.

Other companies like Anthropic and OpenAI are also thinking about going public.

Investors are interested in space technology because it's growing fast.

The IPO is expected to happen after a few years of slow activity in the stock market.
