She shared that she was upset when her parents, actor Sarathkumar and Chaya, got divorced.

She also felt angry when her father remarried to actor Radikaa.

But over time, she forgave her father and worked through her feelings with the help of therapy.

Now, she has a good relationship with her stepmother and stepsister.

Varalaxmi also mentioned that she believes her parents are happier now because of their decisions.

Her marriage to entrepreneur Nicholai Sachdev last year was a big event where her whole family, including her mother and stepmother, showed their love and support.
