Alipurduar Division Earns First Eat Right Honors
The Alipurduar Division of the Northeast Frontier Railway has won special awards for keeping food safe and clean.
One train station and three other places got these awards from a food safety organization in India.
The New Alipurduar railway station got an award for being very good at keeping food safe and clean.
Three other places, like restaurants and a training center, also got awards for the same reasons.
These are the first awards of this kind in the entire Northeast Frontier Railway area.
The awards are given for two years.
The railway says these awards show they are working hard to make sure the food they serve is safe and of good quality for passengers, visitors, and their staff.
New Alipurduar railway station received the Eat Right Station certification with an exemplary rating.
Three facilities under Alipurduar Division earned Eat Right Campus certifications with exemplary ratings.
Certifications are valid from 4 December, 2025 to 3 December, 2027 for the station and from 22 December, 2025 to 21 December 2027 for the campuses.
Certified facilities include rail coach restaurants at RajabhatKhawa and the Rail Museum, Cooch Behar, and the Multi-Disciplinary Zonal Training Institute at Alipurduar Junction.
These are the first Eat Right Campus certifications in the entire NFR zone.
