Assam Government Dismisses APSC Scam Probationers After Court Order
Some people in Assam got caught in a cheating scandal called the APSC scam.
These people were working as probationary officers but were fired.
A court told the government to fire them again, but in a simpler way.
The government said these officers were not good enough to keep their jobs.
Now, the government might let some other officers come back to work and will later decide what to do with them.
This is because the court found issues with how the government originally fired the officers.
29 probationers accused in the APSC cash-for-jobs scam have been dismissed.
The dismissals followed a Gauhati High Court ruling.
The court directed the government to issue simplified dismissal orders.
The Personnel department issued orders stating probationers were unfit for confirmation.
The government is considering reinstatement for another 20 accused officers.
