AISA Leader Urges Unity Against BJP Over Voter Roll Deletions

AISA Leader Urges Unity Against BJP Over Voter Roll Deletions

AISA leader Neha Bora said political groups and members of the public should join together over changes to voter lists.

These changes are part of an exercise called the SIR.

Bora said many people’s names had been removed and demanded that the exercise be stopped.

She also asked people to attend a protest in New Delhi on October 10.

CPI(ML) Liberation leader Dipankar Bhattacharya called for election chief Gyanesh Kumar to resign.

He also said the law governing appointments to the Election Commission should be scrapped.

Bhattacharya said a survey by his party found wrongful deletions in some Bihar polling booths.

The report gives the leaders’ allegations and demands but does not include a response from the government or the Election Commission.
