Indian fencing squad departs for 2026 world championships
The Indian fencing team is going to the Senior World Championships in Hong Kong.
There are 24 athletes, 12 men and 12 women, who will compete in three different types of fencing: Epee, Foil, and Sabre.
They will be competing in both individual and team events.
The team has been preparing hard and is supported by coaches and physiotherapists.
The Secretary-General of the Fencing Association of India, Mr. Rajeev Mehta, wished them good luck and said he believes in their ability to do well.
The event will take place over nine days at the AsiaWorld-Expo venue.
