Tamil Nadu Plans Supreme Court Challenge in Kavin Case
A court cancelled the chargesheet against the parents of Surjith in the case involving the killing of techie Kavin Selvaganesh.
Kavin belonged to a Scheduled Caste.
Tamil Nadu Social Justice Minister Vanniyarasu said the state plans to ask the Supreme Court to review the order.
He said Law Minister Nirmal Kumar had spoken with Kavin’s mother about the plan.
Vanniyarasu said the ruling was not acceptable.
He also said the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi had supported Kavin’s family from the beginning.
The party has demanded that everyone involved in the killing be arrested.
