Osmania University Professor Recognized for Campus Biogas Plant

Osmania University has a plant that turns campus green waste into useful things.

It can process two tonnes of this waste each day.

The plant has been running for more than 800 days.

The gas it makes is used in two university kitchens.

The leftover nutrient-rich material is used in the campus gardens.

This means less waste needs to be thrown away.

Professor C. Srinivasulu helped establish the plant.

Saahas recognized him for this work at its 25th anniversary event.
